Just wanted to thank everyone who posted the very detailed and organized "how to" on adding Google Play to the Arnova 10b G2, It all works flawlessly with what appears to be an unlimited amount of apps. If you have one of these tablets, do yourself a favor and go get an 8GB Micro SD card and follow the above instructions. I had previously had an Arnova 10, it was painful to use, but worked none the less, after about 10 months the touchscreen stopped working, Archos/Arnova technical support and customer service were easy to reach(maybe a 2-3 minute hold time at most), easy to understand(thank you for not outsourcing), and knowledgeable about the products. In the end the end they ended up sending me a replacement, the 10b G2, which is 1 million times better. On the Arnova 10 I was planning on installing a custom rom to "help" it, so when the 10b G2 came in I thought I might need to on it as well, until I started playing around with it, while not perfect, it seems to be able to handle most of what I throw at it, especially now with Google Play. Thanks Everyone.
Hi, i have done everything that I can, but for some reason it just isn't working. Is it possible for someone to show me a video on how they did it? I know that Gerry has a video but i did what he did and it didn't work. Thanks!
To get a proper Google Play, it's best that you flash a custom firmware. You can follow the procedure on the page below, it also works for the Arnova 10b G2 both capacitive and resistive DT /Dual Touch models.
