hi there,

In my country there's only a 10b G2 version available. However I'm not 100% sure if it has full sized usb host on it like 10 G2 has ? (arnova's website specs mislead saying only "micro-usb slave" for both models and seems there's no pictures nor videos of the sides of it anywhere!! lol)

Actually I see no difference(apart of usb not sure here) of the 10b G2, it only seems to have different case and is heavier ?

another question did you guys measure your G2 battery life like how long video playing from 100% it can stand or web surfing etc. ?  there's also not much details on it on the internet

I'm also wondering about the screen - especially angles compared to say archos 101, is it "IPS" lcd as I saw somewhere ?

I am curious in which country the AN10bG2 is available, where do you live, if I may ask ? 😉

As you say, it's hard to figure out if the device has a full size USB port.

I can add the FCC photos for the device (see below) but it's hard to guess what's on the side...

The difference I can see are the case, which seems to be more like the Archos 101 IT (metal/plastic mix) maybe with a kickstand. Also Arnova specifies that the product has 2 models: one capacitive, one resistive.

Regarding the battery life on the Arnova 10 G2, I recall something like 4 to 5 hours of video play, but I will redo the measurements with Arctools battery test: it won't be very accurate, as the device is now a bit older and the battery probably did wear a bit. Everybody is invite to help with the battery test...

It will be nice if you can do some battery tests , even with older tablet :) (you can also mention how older and how intensively the battery was being used more or less, what kind of charge cycles etc.)

I am from Poland. looks like it's only 10b G2 in distribution here and IT DOES NOT have a usb-host- as seen in the manual below:

http://arnovatech.com/support/manuals/UserGuide_Arnova_10bG2_PN109779_book.pdf

so they removed usb for some reason (cost? or faultyness as in archos 101?) added a new heavier case and are trying to hide it in specs (by not mentioning usb host on 10 G2 too, and not giving links to detailed pdf, seems obvious)

Pity. I'll go for archos 101 gen8 in this case.

compared to 10 G2:

Hi, I'm from Spain and here we have the 10b G2 model too.

It has a microUSB port as you can see in the next photo. It's case is made of plastic (no metal at all), equipped with a capacitive screen, 4 Gb storage (2'13 Gb available) and no kickstand in the back side.

The 10b G2 model has its camera is in the left side of the screen, right in the center of it.

Here you have a short video too. Its quality isn't very good, but you can realize the screen angles. It looks really good.
