Hi! I have since a few days a 10b G2, and I am happy with it, even because, following instructions I partially found here, I was able to install Market (is called Market, but it works as google play) and Skype which works with camera.

Still, I have an application (Football FIFA 12) that used to work on my Galaxy S, I install it by downloading from the market,

I can start it, but after the choice of the teams and of the field, etc., the application closes unexpectedly without any message and I am thrown to the home screen of the tablet.

Any ideas / help?

Thank you very much, Dan

Thank you! But...

Sorry for the silly question... how do I use adb logcat? Should I root the phone? How do I logcat my phone?

Thanks again

you need to install your tablet drivers, after that activate the debugg mode
instal android sdk, java sdk, there is a tutorial around the forum, the drivers also posted somewere around
here is a good post to guide you (some of the stuff are only for arnova 7c g2)

Hi! It took me a while since I had to find an app that allows me to have a look to the log, since the connection through the pc does not work perfectly.

I eventually used error log dump.

The error log I get is attached.

Can somebody have a look?

Thank you!

Hi! I looked in the forum and I found "superoneclick" and "gingerbreak". Tried both, they apparently worked, but eventually the phone (10b G2, capacitive) is NOT rooted: the chainfire3d says "cannot get superuser access". Hey, I did my homework... 🙂

But I am clueless now... any more help?

Thank thank you!!!!

Gingerbreak gives you a partial root, in the sense you can execute commands that require root, but you can't modify the file system which is read-only (CRAMFS file system type). I don't know if this causes a problem to chainfire3D, i'll try to have a look.

Thanks! Looking forward. In the meanwhile the arnova people told me they did not release new firmware yet for my device...

I have checked, Chainfire 3D requires write access to /system to properly install on a device.

See https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.cf3d

....

!! Android 2.1 and newer !!

!! Chainfire3D is for 1ghz+ devices only !!

!! ROOT is required for this program, as well as a writable /system partition.

So I tried with a custom firmware that has root and a writable /system: no chance, the tablet got stuck during the reboot following  Chainfire installation Confused There must be some incompatibility with the software.

I don't have any solution at the moment, sorry.

Thank you in any case. It seems to me that the firmware you have tried is for the 10G2, my tablet is a 10b G2...

Right, I forgot to mention the test device/firmware were different, but I expect the same results on both, as the hardware is very similar and probably suffers the same limitations.
