Hi Everyone,

I just purchased the 10b G2 and I am new to the tablet world.  Are there any helpful hints for me, I have not even opened the box yet.  If there are any do's and don'ts that I should follow being a newbee please share them with me.

Nothing much to do for your first setup.

There are misconceptions about batteries that let us think the device should be charged fully before being used for the first time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_effect) but I believe this does not apply current tablets Li-Ion batteries. http://www.nothingbuttablets.com/830

You will probably find yourself limited quite soon by Archos/Arnova own marketplace (Appslib), an "unofficial" installation procedure for Google Android Market on the Arnova 10b G2 should be released here in the Forum & Blog in the coming days...

Have fun with your 10bG2.

If you want to help (and have some spare time and linux), a dump of your device would be useful.

Instructions can be found here:

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-9-g2-firmware-version-and-password-protection/willing-to-try-rooting-this-model/page-2/

This way we can have a backup for users in trouble, while waiting for arnova to release the firmware.

And also start rooting it.Wink

I connected my 10b G2 to an Archos G9 3G stick but, contrarily to what expected, the tablet seems not recognizing the stick (nothing happens, the LEDs on the stick remain off). The stick works correctly on a Win7 laptop. Any hint? Anybody got that problem?
