Before everything else, since I'm new hereI want to say hello to everyone here.

Well, I have a small problem with my Arnova 10 G2 8gb since I flashed it in order to try morkamod 1.15 and Kasty.

The flashing went without any problem in both case, no bricking or anything, which kind of surprised me.

Basically, I had my tablet since something like 3 weeks and it worked perfectly fine. But since I tried the morkamod in order to see what Honeycomb looks like, my portrait view is always inverted, which is quite annoying since my tablet is mainly an ebook reader. Apparently, the landscape axis is okay, but the portrait one always goes in the opposite direction of how it should be;

It's pretty much always like that, if I hold the tabet in a "readable" way in which I can see it, it turns upside down. Everywhere, so it's not a problem with a specific application.

So, as you can see, I tried to remove everything and to put kasty, and after that, the official Arnova firmware, but nothing changed, the tablet is still blocked in its "reversed" auto-rotation. No matter the firmware. Even with the original one and factory settings.

Is there anything else still doable before bringing it back to the shop? The only thing left I can see would be the kernel or some other kind of invisible setting shared between firmwares (or some kind of strange hardware problem that just happened after I tried Morkamod), but that's it. And I have absolutely no idea of how to deal with this.

Thanks by advance for your answers

(And I'm conscious that I certainly butchered the english language quite a lot, I'm sorry, I'm french and, more importantly, quite tired after a whole day constantly trying to solve this problem)

Welcome on the forum elkeryos Wink

I'm not sure if you are using the right firmware. Your post mentions an Arnova 10 G2 while your setup profile (left column on your post) shows "Arnova 10b G2 capacitive". Both models have some slight differences that may also include the accelerometer.

Also, before flashing a new firmware, please use the "EraseIDB" option in RKAndroidTool v1.29 to make sure the tablet gets fully formatted the tablet.

Cheers.

(PS: I have edited your post so the picture shows, rather than using a link. You can do that using the "Insert/Edit Image" button in the post editor toolbar)

First, thanks for the answer.

Well, I checked the box because I wanted to see something, and you're partly right, in fact it's more of a case of not using the right tablet rather than the right firmware; turns out that I have a 10b G2 (which didn't brick at all when installing the 10g2 firmware on it, which is why I didn't notice it)

Which brings another problem, since Arnova hasn't released the 10b g2 official firmware yet as far as I know. Kuh.

I'll probably put a custom firmware (if there is one) until they release the official one.

Meanwhile Arnova releases a 10bG2 firmware (I hope it will happen soon), you can use an unofficial stock firmware dump from a forum user.

I tried it and it works perfectly fine, thanks a lot. I kind of feel stupid, bad habit of checking the complicated things but forgetting the small ones like A LETTER ON THE DEVICE ITSELF instead.

Well, now I just have to wait for morkamod to be released on 10b g2, which should apparently come soon.

Thanks a lot, I probably wouldn't have checked the box without what you said about the firmware possibly being a wrong one.
