Hi all,

Just got round to starting on my 10G2, I decided to put in a 16gb card, now this is where it gets a bit tricky for me.

I wanted to copy and paste the images that came with the arnova onto the 16gb card I installed, but (If I go into storage I can see the card is installed as it comes up as 14.something gb which would be about right, but I can see no way of being able to copy to the 16gb card.

If I go to the menu that says "SD Card", it shows a books dir, and digital rights dir, so I think this must be the internal storage memory, and not the 16GB I installed.

Does anyone know a way of being able to just see and use the 16gb to copy and paste to, or (I could be wrong here) but does the Arnova somehow join the built in memory and the 16gb and see it as one?

Also why is there a shortcut for "Eurosport" as whenever I run it, I get the "Eurosport" screen come up for about 3 secs, then the G2 just goes directly back to the G2's main screen.

Is there something that needs updating?

Much wisdom would be appreciated at this moment in time,

Thanks chaps for reading

Thanks for replying globula_neagra,

No mate, all I used was the basic File icon on the main screen, but I did read the post here,

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-10-g2-hardware-software-problems/switching-storage-from-internal-to-micro-sd-card/

I had another thought,  can the larger USB port be used to hold apps, as I have one of those really small flat type ones that hardly stick out.

Or I suppose I could remove my MicroSD card, create a folder on it,...  name it to something that will be easily remembered then at least I know it would be on the SDcard, although it would be only on a folder.

It's not being lazy, but the idea of having to keep taking out such a small item and breaking or static electricity causing a problem is something I'm not looking forward to.

I whilst looking through the setup screens I came upon something similar to windows "safely remove hardware" but (excuse bad memory) it may have said something like "safely remove SD card or USB card" would that be the Micro or the large external USB?

Thank you very much for your help....

FILE EXPERT, this is the last free version that has root explorer and mounting options (in market these options are available now, only on the paid version )

Link : FileExpertLatest.apk

Use this file manager to copy/create/move folder on your sd card

I think that u can use a micro usb stick on android as long as you have a usb port on your tablet (you should google more about this or wait an answer for someone more documented from here)

The safely remove command can be used on sd card and usb stick (it applies to both because the computer sees them as removable disks)

Thank you for the detailed information globula_neagra,

Very much appreciated.... and thank you for the apk also.

Webpage copied and saved for future reference,........ (to save me asking the same question again).... I usually get round to doing my own things in between other peoples jobs on there p.c.'s,  So by the time I get to do my own stuff half of it gets forgotten.

all the best
