I'm having an odd issue that might be hardware and would like to see if anyone else is seeing this.
I have a Arnova 10 G2 that while sitting on the table (or in your hand or whenever) Â indicate that the SD card was ejected, inserted and that the media library is being updated. Â No huge issue unless you install things on the SD card.
Â
The unit is pretty new and I am using the Finnless Bob 1.1 root/  (Thank you Bob for a well documented process.)  I did not run it very long before rooting and I don`t believe I had the SD card in it at that time.  So I cant separate from a ROM issue without flashing back to stock.  If anyone is experiencing this please let me know as I'm going to wait a bit before taking it back to standard.
Â
Secondly Can someone who has had theirs ope confirm if the whiteish block next to the camera is a LED light/flash? Â I can't seem to turn mine on and find no setting for flash in the camera app. Â I did install several differnt flashlight apps but none of them could turn it on. Â
ThanksÂ
SG

This is a very annoying issue which I raised in my firmware bugs "pinned" topic. It has serious consequences of draining your battery in sleep mode, especially if you have wifi turned on and set a longer screen timeout period. I don't care at all about any actual sdcard eject. I think this is common to all firmwares.
Â
In the discussion, I thought finless solved it by saying to leave off wifi location detection off under settings. This seems to help, but I now see not enough. I think the important workaround now is to turn off wifi before going to sleep. This is too much trouble under settings, so I have a widget for this on my screen.

Mine is on all the time and honestly I am not seeing the SD card ejection thing.... Yes to waking up now and then if location services is running. I thinks thats due to the google apps (maps).
My SD card is a 16 gig HD Ultra. Maybe it has something to do with the SD card type?
