ConfusedCry  I am not really computer literate.  Please help me.

I am trying to update my firmware on the Arnova 10 G2.  I said yes to the UBS storage.  That is where I get stuck.  How do you "Copy the update.img to the root of that drive?"  I am assuming "that device" is the tablet?

Now I do not have a SD card yet.  Is that the problem?

Also, what is the "root" of the device?  I know I have to deal with that in some operations (as in updating the firmware) but I don't know anything about it.  Can someone please direct me?

The device is actually the tablet. It's no problem not having a sdcard, you will copy the file to the root of the tablet's internal storage.

The root of the tablet, from the USB connection is the top level directory that you see on the remote drive from the computer when you mount the tablet. It should contain the following directories: Music, Video, DCIM, System, Pictures

 

Before you flash a custom firmware, I'd suggest that you make sure you have some assistance to help you thru the restore procedure, as you may encounter some issues after flashing the device. See the "bricked" topics in this forum, where it can be tough for people not used to computers.
