Couldnt boot my tablet this morning which already had custom firmware on so decided to flash some different firmware. Used rockchip loader to install new firmware yet when i turn the tablet on it gets stuck in recovery mode and cannot access any of the options as says

E:can't find MISC:

I presume this folder has been deleted and cannot boot without it, yet wont let me install new firmware or delete other firmware. Please can anybody help me? How do i get it back on?

Can you try first using RK29update pressing EraseIDB button, that would "format" part of the tablet system. Then Flash the official firmware with RKBatchTool using Restore button rather than Upgrade button.

If successful, you can then flash your wanted firmware.

Cheers.

Weirdly when i try and Erase IDB with RK29update it just says no found device for upgrading, although the computer finds and recognises the tablet??

I have to go to work now but really appreciate your help and would like to see if there is anything else i can try so please keep posting if you have any other ideas and i will check later.

Thanks again though, u rule 🙂

Seems the problem is i cant install a new driver. When i reset the tablet it says on the computer error with the device, but when it comes back on it just recognises it in device manager as the tablet not an unknown device. When i uninstall the driver it just does the same??

You may not be switching the tablet properly to flash mode. You need to put a paperclip in the reset pinhole, keep it there, push the volume+ button while keeping the reset pressed, stay like this for 5 seconds then release vol+ then reset. The tablet screen should turn black.

The screen should stay black, make sure you're doing the manipulation right.

I didn't mention, but you need to have the micro usb cable plugged from your tablet to your PC before doing that procedure.

USB is plugged in and doing manipulation right, it just wont come onto the computer as an unknown device hence i cannot put the rockchip drivers on and cant use the rockchip thing to cahnge firmware. Even tried it on another computer and it comes on straight away as a arnova 10g2 device in device manager
