After attempting to replace the firmware with one that would allow the install of android market the unit now does not turn on. I do not get the spash screen.
I would like to try to re-install the factory firmware with rockchip tool, but cannot get windows to recognise the unit.
Inserting a pin in the reset button while holding the up+ vol and with usb connected to my laptop - the unit shows as an unrecognised device within windows and will not acccept any of the drivers from the rockchip batch tool. It also disconnects as soon as i release the pin.
Am I following the right process or is there another to set the unit back to factory defaults?
Has anybody come accross this problem before?
Many Thanks for any help in this matter.
I am currently experiencing the same problem.
We are discussing it here - http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-10-g2-hardware-software-problems/doesnt-turn-on-cant-detect/
Maybe you will find something useful. Let me know if you get it fixed.
I have same problem too. After I do a hard reboot (keep the on/off button down for ages) it come up with a message FIRMWARE UPDATING
"A image file of firmware version 0.2.3 is found : /mnt/storage/update.img'. Current firmware version is . Would you like to install the image file? If so, all the user data and applications will be removed!"
I then get too options: install or cancel. Neither option works and I'm just stuck on the screen
