If the USB can see RK29 device...that means the tablet is in the ready to flash mode

May I suggest to use Windows XP instead of vista of windows 7 to try the flash tool again

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem this morning. I am at a loss. Any idea what I should do? When I flash, I have the message "prepare IDB failed". And the square in the batch tool remains blue whatever I do.
Is it hardware or software?

Hi,

I've had same problem, but the batch tool turns green and installs the firmware upto 42900 bytes then stops and fails......... I've tried numerous times and it always stops at the  same number of bytes or less!!

Please can someone help?

The EZ firmware from the link you pointed is a very simple firmware to install, it has been downloaded (and I supposed used Wink) hundreds of times.

Still, there are always risks as for any firmware and if you want to feel more secure, just make sure you have a setup working with Rockchip Flasher, just in case, so you can flash back your stock firmware or try another one.

Cheers.

Thanks for the encouragement Smile

One question : if I put my 10 G2 into recovery mode (with the paper clip and +vol control) and I can't flash it, will it revert back out of recovery mode with no changes? If so how do I get it out of recovery mode?

Cheers for your excellent help
