I am a bit confused about the type of power adapter you can use on the Arnova 10 G2 tablet.
My tablet came with a 5V 2a adapter. I purchased a 9V version available for the Arnova 10 G2 from Amazon.
The new 9V adapter bricked the tablet. Not sure if the adapter was faulty or that you can not use the 9v adapter
on certain versions.
To my knowledge, the Arnova 10 G2 comes with a 5v 2A adapter, it's the same for many other Archos G1/G2 products and some Arnova tablets. 9V output is more rare for Arnova models, I think the Arnova 9 G2 / 9 G3 use one, probably due to the IPS screen, but the connector diameter is smaller than the one on the 10 G2.
I can't say for sure, but it looks like the adapter you bought fried the tablet because of the higher voltage, I'm surprise the tablet has no protection
Do you mind sharing with us where you bought this adapter on Amazon ?
