Ok, so I have installed the rooted firmware, Arc tools, the market apps etc and what a fantastic device, thank you so much to Bob and others for your invaluable contributions. I am now happily using various apps but because of the screen size (i use landscape) would like to hide the status bar (the black bar at the top with the time, home button etc. in). I have tried a few different launchers, but none seem to do this even if turned on. In fact the only application that I have seen do this successfully is the installed video application (even MX Video goes over the status bar but the icons in the status bar show through). I have racked my brain to find a setting and I am sure that what I want to do is blindingly obvious but so far I have failed.

Any help with this gratefully received. It might be that one needs to reassign the volume and lock buttons to other functions but I know this is possible as it can be done in Dolphin browser.

Many thanks and a happy New Year to all.

Use Button Savior from the Market to get round this.

I can see that Market Saviour has the ability to map buttons - thank you.

As to hiding the Status Bar I would still be grateful to understand how I might hide that, on my HTC phone it hides automatically when scroll an application down or put in full screen mode but I can're do the same on my 10 B2b tablet.

Many thanks,

My keyboard has taken on a life of it's own. I meant "can't" and "10 G2". I am using a keyboard called Swype which is great but has the habit of changing a word after you have moved onto the next!
