Hi

I am new to this rooting stuff, previously i bought an old archos 7 tablet which was already rooted but have just bought the Arnova 10 g2 tablet, and its so slow, watched a few youtube videos of this device and there all rooted and run so much quicker, not to mention android market place, gmail etc.. one video led me to your site and where i am now stuck is i cant seem to find a step by step guide of how to root my device to be like the ones on youtube, ive managd to download a file called "arn10g2-23-20" to my laptop but dont no what to do next.. ive even downloaded on my tablet arctools, which i belive  is another way to do it, but once i click on firmware then the drop down menu there is nothing there..

Could someone please help me with the easiest way possible to root my device and run the software from this site.. much appreciated.

The firmware you've downloaded will require a few manipulations that may not be the best thing for a first try.

Please have a look at this page: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/installing-android-market-arnova-10-g2-ez-custom-firmware/

and the video, it should get you setup with Google Play in like 10 minutes.
