HI...I recently purchased teh PHilly tablet.. and am very interested in trying this new firmware.. I just have a few questions before I try.
1)What happens to the Daily News and Inquirer apps? do you ahve to reinstall them? Does this affect the subscriptions at all?
2)Does this update work well with video chat, like skype?
3)Is Android Market included?

Thanks for your help. I'm really excited about this new tablet, and with the deal that the Inquirer offered, it would just be awesome to effectively upgrade this device! I think it has a ton of potential.

Please note that I have moved this post to a new thread as you had posted it in a locked forum.  Now, to answer your questions.

1.  You must copy your 3 PMN apps from the \system\apps folder using a robust file manager that can see into it (example:  Total Commander which is at http://www.ghisler.com, not in Market).  Otherwise, when you flash the new ROM you'll lose these.  You then have to reinstall them after flashing the new firmware (so make sure you copy them to your SD card, and make sure you remove your SD card before flashing new firmware.  To be extra sure, make a copy on your PC).  You will then have to reinstall them and reconnect your account, probably with a new name.  You can actually manipulate which devices are tied to your subscription via the http://www.philly.com website.  (Check out the Philly Tablet betaforum for a discussion of how to do this; I'm pretty sure it's there because someone helped me with it!)

2.I have loaded, but not tried out Skype on the tablet.  I have used an app called GrooveIP which, in combination with Google Voice, can turn your tablet into a phone provided you have a wifi connection.

3.  I believe the thread discussing Kasty 2.0 includes instructions for loading the Android Marketplace.
