I've been running Bob's firmware for about 3 months with no problems. However yesterday the screen went funny, it had bands of multi-coloured dots across the screen. Tried to reboot the machine but it doesn't get past the green and blue splash screen.
I have tried boot the machine into reset mode so that I can reflash, the problem that I am getting is that Windows is not recognising the drivers so the Rockchip tool is not able to see the tablet. Windows does recognise the unit, sort of, it seems to know that it is an Arnova 10 G2 but it is not happy with the driver - and yet when I point to the drivers in the subfolder of my Rockchip folder it doesn't seem to want to update them.
My initial efforts were on a PC running Win7 x64 but I also tried it on my XP laptop with no better result.
Anyone got any ideas, as I am pulling my hair out here!
Resolved! Bob's READ-ME instructions were so easy to follow when I originally flashed the firmware, this time round I thought I didn't need them. Doh! I was missing a bit out.
There are a lot of people with this problem, judging by the googling I had done before posting. They all need to follow the READ-ME a little closer I guess. Like me.
