You probably have updated Adobe Flash to a version that causes problems on your tablet, you should find in the 10 G2 forum how to installed a compatible version.

Cheers.

Thanks to all the Devs that made this ROM possible!!! I will be getting my tablet Monday and I need some help to understand this a little better. I am not a stranger to flashing ROM as I flash my Galaxy S using Odin at least twice a week. These are some things that I am confused about:

1) where are the drivers I need (Windows 7 32-bit)

2) Do I use RK29_Update_Tool or Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.4 ( I assume it's RK29_Update_Tool)

3) If I understand it correctly, Extract arn10g2-23-20 (does it matter where I extract to?), I put the device into download mode/recovery (vol and reset button), plug the device in with the proper flash tool open, make sure it shows recognized, hit EraseIDB, then hit Run. (In wich case I just answered #2 myself LOL) and let it do it's thing.

Does that about cover it? I just want to make sure I understand the procedure. If that is about it then I can flash it right off the bat. If no ones minds I may make a guide with screenshots as well while I do this. It seems a written guide would go a long way. I watched the video several times, but without a basic understanding it didn't make much sense and was to tiny to read what was going on. Thanks again

That's quite correct. RK29_Update_Tool is the program to use to flash this firmware, it contains the drivers for all major OSes.

It does not matter where you extract the files, it will just be a temporary place that you can delete after your tablet has been flashed.

As usual, any help with documenting the flashing process is welcome Wink

If you want to first try an easier to install firmware that fit most needs, you can check our Kasty EZ custom firmware.

Thanks for the fast reply Admin! I will go all out and try the flash (I am just that kind of guy LOL) I figure if I brick it, it will probably be a soft brick and can be recovered. It's when Recovery/Download mode is messed up that problems occur. Does the RK_29_Update_Tool look for the appropriate files? Meaning I either point it to the directory or it scans automatically?

I actually quite enjoy making guides, so I will see what I can do as I flash it.

Thanks again!

It's all pre-configured so you shouldn't have much to do Wink

As for the brick risk, it's almost null (unless the hardware fails), because the bootloader is in a protected area on the tablet and can't be overwritten by a wrong flash.

Cheers.

You need to use Rockchip flasher on this firmware, it can't be flashed by other ways as it contains some system modifications.
You can check this other simpler firmware version that can be flashed using ArcTools or just copying the update.img file to the root of your device, see here: http://arnovatech.com/support/firmware.html?country=us&lang=en&g=2

Using RKAndroid Tool v1.29, I Flashed my 10 G2 to receive your splendid Kasty update arn10g2-23-20.zip …then added Play / Market.
All works well except one odd problem:- Gmail installs and runs fine, but it won’t update/synchronise automatically, it needs me to do a manual “refresh” manually every time. Gmail does prompt me to go via Android Home > accounts & sync > auto-sync …but the accounts & sync menu item is missing. Can anybody help, please?
