Download the firmware and the instruction are in a file called READ ME FIRST.TXT. Follow the step to the letter!

1st thing id like to say is thanks man for everything u have done and i hope that you had an awesome christmas. Ive fully flashed the firmware, installed arctools and installed all the apps like market, gmail etc... BUT when i try to download an app from the market it always says download of "app" was unsuccessful. My market is US dollars and im in the UK. Maybe thats the reason. Does it matter about which google framework im using???? because every time i try to install the apps and market from arctools its says that google framework did not install. Im stoked on all the effort uve put in to all this dude and would love to get an answer directly from you. BTW my gmail app works perfect just like the rest...its just the market that lets me down. Hopefully i dont have to fe-flash again.

Hmmm I don't know honestly it could be that it is US market and not UK. Maybe you can set your time zone to US, language to US, etc and see if it works? If the Market goes based on IP address then that could be an issue. Maybe try turning off location services for WiFi in settings? Just some ideas to try.

You did install Market 4.3.3 (rooted) install from Arctools 0.57 correct?

No I installed from arctools 0.60. When i installed 0.57 the list where you download the apps and market from never loaded up. Ill try them solutions now, if they dont work ill try 0.57 again.

Right, those solutions didnt work..thanks anyway. I've just uninstalled everything from the device like market, arctools etc ...installed arctools 0.57, downloaded the 4.3.3 package (rooted), reboot the device and now the market has disappeared. HAHA i never have any luck lol. Cry

OK so here is something I noticed. If you do not have WiFi on when you run Arctools 0.57 and then realize this happened, when you turn on WiFi and go back to arctools 0.57 it still wont load. I had to go to applications settings and clear data for arctools and reboot. Just a tip.

Like i said I eventually got arctools 0.57 working downloaded the rooted 3.4.4 package but still no luck. I dont want to give up but restoring to the stock firmware is my only choice i think. I have followed every step right and got so far then ..... BAM! android market hits me in the face. thanks for your replies bob

That version does not install an icon on your desktop. After install did you look in your apps drawer? It should be there.

If you mean in settings, applications, all applications then yes. There is a market updater but no market. What if i tried arctools 0.58 if i can get old of it. Also, do you have a link for appslib aswell. I know appslib is down at the min but its worth a try.

Sorry for the noob question. I have had this 1 day. I have successfully flashed the tablet and it is now sporting finless' excellent piece of work. I am trying to get Android Market on it now. Reading here it seems there is a problem with arctools > v57 so I have downloaded the APK file for 57, but I am afraid I don't know what to do with it now Embarassed Can someone give me a heads up?

I found the vending.apk file in the apps drawer. installed it but the market is still in USD and wont let me download. Looks like a stock restore for me. unless you have anymore ideas?

Run arctools

Click on the pull down at the top and select Market 4.3.3 (Root install).

Click the download button and let it fully download

Click the install button. You should see a list of a bunch of installed stuff with NO COPY ERRORS.

Now power down and back up. If you do not power down and up it wont work.

Go to your applications drawer (where all your apps are listed). The app drawer is the little 4 square box icon on the far right of your screen in landscape mode. This takes you to a new window listing all the apps.

Click the Market icon. You will need a Gmail account. If you have one already just login with it. If not I think it would be best if you went and created one using a PC Browser as I have never tried creating one with the Market application.

Thats it... App Market should not list applications and stuff.

Thanks for the instant response Bob. At the risk of sounding really dumb... where do I run arctools? Your firmware seems to have done away with a lot of stuff I am sure I would never use, but that has left the list of apps pretty thin (having pressed the grid button down the right side). There is no appslib or arctools in the list now...
