I have used app2sd to move all the programs that I could to my memory card.

I have started using app cache cleaner and this freed up quite a bit as program cache is stored in the internal storage space and not on the sd.

Using android info app from the android market to check what internal storage I had left after doing showed some improvement.

I installed disk usage to show what exactly was using up system internal storage and found that things like live wallpapers, some google apps, and apps that where part of the firmware that could not be moved to sd could be uninstalled so I did that with all the stuff that I didnt need. It seems that some programs store themselves on the system memory and some just install straight onto the sd card. Everthing I install now, the app APPSD informs me if it can be moved to the memory card.

Been quite new to Android seems like it is a bit of a poor state that this is the case, but reading in this forum Cybersoft the creators of the custom firmware has a way round this which will be released soon so that system files can be stored on an sd card to free up memory, unless there is already a way around this.

Some more information regarding this would be very helpful if the site admins can shed some light on this issue and give the newbees some more information would be great [Image Can Not Be Found]

It means that your tab is compatible with windows 7, so you can hook it up by usb to tranfer files.......

I have successfully flashed/rooted my Philly 10G2 tablet. Worked completely as described. I will say that I had already flashed a new official image from Arnova effectively erasing the entire Philly newspaper app bundle.

I do however have an issue with the Market app. When launched for the first time it asks to login to (or create) a google account. The app seems to be attempting to place a phone call through a data provider. It tries then reports

'Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server.'

'This could be a temporary problem of your phone may not be provisioned with data services. Call customer care... '

I've seen postings here about the Market working and I have to wonder how? Do I really call cust. care at google?

Thanks for your feedback and good to hear it's working for you.

We are working on increasing the partition for the data storage or having an option such as A2SD to increase the limited storage for applications.

If you like our web site, applications and firmwares, feel free to support our site. Donations are used to pay the bills for our server hosting costs, development tools and purchase new tablets to support.

Not sure whether this unit suffers from the issue some other Android handsets have.  There, the \data\data partition is strictly limited to 150mb, so as soon as you hit that wall, you get "low memory messages."  There is an exploit to relocate that to an ext4 partition (perhaps from the 4megabyte internal drive), but not sure whether this unit would support such an approach, and of course, I suspect the \data\data partition is smaller given the smaller RAM footprint.

Dear Jerry,

May I know how can you find the rooted firmware with traditional chiness support?

Thanks

KP
