ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

Maybe you need to watch the video one more time ... it actually shows storage space for apps (/data partition) has been extendedÂ
I haven't measured battery life yet and it wouldn't be that easy as the battery of my good old 10 G2 is starting to wear and it's not easy to compare with it what was months ago.
There's no CWM yet, but I should include one when I publish the firmware.
Cheers.

great news to hear ICS is close to being ready for release, especially atm as my lad can't use playstore or gmail on the 10G2 running finless 2.2pro rom,for some strange reason every now and again have to re load rom to fix this problem, never worked out what causes this problem as one day its good and next its not. probably down to one of the games he plays on the old girl which crashes now and then.
will for sure send a little gold donation once its all up and running and its payday.
battery in 10g2 is a dual cell double package, similar to the dual cell single package battery in 10g3, charging system is incorporated into the battery header package in both 10g2,10g3.
retro fitting a bigger battery and battery replacement is not that hard and well worth it in both models, same goes for modding the charge socket.
all the best HBJ

Thanks for the reply and for the tip, I was probably too excited for the new rom
I can't wait for the ROM thanks for the hard work you do for us

Do you happen to now the model number of the battery on our Arnova?
I want to fit a new battery with a higher capacity but didn't knew the current model so was a bit stuck
thanks in advance

Wwwwooooowwwwwww!!!!
I thought I would never see a new ICS rom for this device.
I have the finless 2.2 installed which has the philly version kernel, more stable but without 3G dongle support.
If this ICS version is stable and with 3G dongle support it will be my next rom.
Thank you, I have made a donation for your hard work.
Sorry about the delay, but the wait is almost over.
I still have a few things to fix and the firmware will be published, next week at latest.
Don't get too exited though, while ICS is quite workable on the Arnova 10 G2, the 512 MB RAM is a bit limited to provide smooth ICS operation.
Cheers.

Thanks for the update
For the moment I've a samsung galaxy 3 (apollo) with 256 ram and a 667 MHz single core processor (overclocked to 1 GHz and it's capable of runing ICS smoothly and a Jellybean port is on its way so I think  it wil be no problem for our pretty tablet
Thanks for all the effort and keep up the good work

bobkI think it's hard to compare your Galaxy and the Arnova 10 G2, these are really different platforms and get different level of system optimizations. Having a smooth system on the Galaxy doesn't imply it will be smooth on other machines with similar specs, it really depends on how much work has been put in exploiting the hardware at its maximum. My opinionÂ

Sorry for my noobish comment
looking from the video, it will run smooth enough for my needs
as long as i can run a decent video player and some office apps its good for me
The reason why I realy want ICS is because of the looks and feel, it has more of a tablet interface than gingerbread

Take your time to fix the rom.
We've been waiting a year for an ics rom, so we can wait a little bit more.
Thank you for your work.
