I take it the Samsung can be set up as a wi-fi hotspot. I only really know about the HTC range myself, but if I remember correctly, the ability to use a phone as a wifi hotspot is a facet of the more recent Android software versions rather than the make of phone, so you should be OK.
Just check your "Settings>Wireless & Networks" on the Samsung.
I've had no trouble linking the wi-fi in a 10 G2 to my HTC Desire S acting as a hotspot. Watch out for your phone tariff though - pumping data traffic to and from full-sized web-sites has bust some people's data allowances.
I've got an Archos 10 G2 and an HTC desire S. I've successfully connected the tablet to the phone using the WiFi Hotspot as described above. The phone shows 1 connected user. Everything seems just as it should be, but when I try to use the web the tablet fails to load the page and I get the message - Web page not available. If I switch the connection to my home WiFi it works fine.
Any ideas anyone?????
