I have tried to update the firmware from 2.31 to Android 4.0 on my 10 G2 only to find that the tablet would not load afterwards. all I got was the green light on, nothing else, Bricked I believe its called. I was lucky that the store I bought it off gave me a replacement.
If I tried to reset the machine using the "Rockchip Flashing Tool" I found that when I connected the Tablet to either Windows XP or 7 it tried to recognize the USB connection but then rejected it saying it was an unknown device. I tried to reset the machine manually and tried it while pressing the volume button all to no avail.
I would like to upgrade the software to the version Android 4.0 but am afraid now as I don't think the store would give me another Arnova 10 G2 tablet.
Can anyone give me some advice as to how I would update the firmware safely
