since this is a development topic, I will start ICS thread if I may 🙂
As I wrote already, my tries to compile ICS were unsucessfull so far, but if you want a feel of it you cant D/L ICS Rom for T760 from here (click on grey button next to red VIP). No worries to flash it, even if it use different recovery image, you will be able to flash it back, because bootloader is responsible for VOLUP+TURNON magic 🙂 and you will not flash that... (me, I flashed it many times always without issues to get back to finless ROM) Also, use USB mouse to move around...
As expected, touch screen, wifi, audio, gsensor, miniusb do not work... I tried to replace some files in /system/lib but that didn't help.
So this first topic is basicaly to inform you that ICS was compiled for RK2918 already and it is working...we just need to compile ours or somehow replace the drivers. And here is the question. Do we only need to change drivers in system? Or (and this is more likely) also kernel for our tablet need to be compiled? Because in first case, I managed to at least compile ICS system.img, so I'm guessing it can have correct drivers for our device (however, flashing it over T760 system.img didn't work)... but my knowledge of unpacking/repacking .img files are pretty low...maybe finless/admin can assist with this? 🙂
TO REST...DO NOT TRY TO FLASH PROVIDED FW. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAN GO WRONG SINCE IT IS FOR DIFFERENT DEVICE SO I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BRICKS!
BTW, firmware came from here... Do not D/L 4.0.1 version from 27th December. It will give you just bootloops.
OK, one last post (doing place for future post-edits :D).
When I compared T760 FW 4.0 and 4.0.1 which should have Wi-Fi fixed, only file that changed was system.img (few bytes in size, different date). So according this I'm assuming that replacing drivers in system.img could help...maybe.
Thanks for this great news, I did not know we already had an ICS firmware for RK2918 devices.
I will probably wait a bit until we have a more functionnal system before testing.

Aaaa and thats the problem! Kernal mode drivers...... For sure I think that is why it doesnt work right!
Thanks for sharing this and I have no problem flashing it and going back.. Seriously even if recovery.img gets hosed... YOU CAN flash back! This has got to be one of the most recoverable tablets I have read about!
Some German guys are also trying to hack their RK29 device (Odys) using this ROM to get ICS.
They're also struggling with the kernel.
Some Belgian and Dutch (birdiebnl) guys are trying to do the same, but with more luck, since their device (Xiron 8) is more similar to the one they have a ICS ROM for.
They've found some libraries for non-working parts and were able to load them (Camera, Wifi).
Only major issue they have is touchscreen.
Some info, why the touchscreen is hard to get it to work:
