So the 10b G2 does not have a built in Mic? Really? On the 10 G2 it a little pion hole just to the keft of the power jack (in the plastic edge).
I was beginning to think that, but the specs say it has a microphone:
Looking at the device, I can't find it. The only hole on the device is the reset button. Then again, I don't see a mic hole on my Acer A500 or any of my other tablets either.
Not sure what the deal is with the audio not working with Skype.
I tried the included sound recorder and it did record sound....not very clear, but sound none the less, so it does have something.
I checked the manual/User Guide and it doesn't mention microphone at all:
The Arnova 10g2 Does have a mic on the front left bottom corner or below the camera, it is only small the size of a pinhole.
I have also had video call on Google +
The Video call was from Arnova 10G2 tablet to Sony Ericcson Xperia Mini Pro and vice versa.
So this tablet must have a mic
i found the file in question - uploaded elsewhere
for future reference - its called skype47_rearonly.rar and it contains Skype20047
this version has the option of engaging the rear camera on android devices
aparently the camera on the arnova 10 is recognised as a rear camera and probably thats why it has some issues
with that version the device works perfectly - video and audio both ways
Arnova10G2: USB to Ethernet - PLEASE TELL ME HOW?
I am using the 47 rear version on my Arnova G2 and it works fine for Video but no microphone coms at all - I have tried headset in or not in - microphone works OK wit Oovoo for example (other things don't!) so I know the mike is working!
Am surprised to see some have mike and video both working with this version - anyone got any clues for me?
Ok, we really need some specialists or admins over here to sort out some problems.
Some people read this thread, they download the special Skype version and wham bam they have skype on their archos 10 g2.
Others have it working, but they have to plug in an earphone.
For others, Skype doesn't work.
For me, this version of Skype works fine for about 10 seconds (!). The first 10 seconds, video and audio are perfect in both directions. After those 10 seconds, video remains ok (both directions) but audio crashes (?) in one direction: i can hear the other one, but the other one can not hear me (archos 10g2)
It is really frustrating to hear that some people don't have any problems and some others desperately keep browsing the web for a solution.
Is the way you get the skype-version from your pc to the tablet important? Do you have to use the cable? Or is a usb memory stick ok enough?
Is it important where you install Skype? On the sd-card or just on the tablet?
What are the things you can do wrong when you install Skype?
I really hope someone can help out here.
thanks in advance!
