Hello guys,

Recently I bought one of these Arnova 10 G2. Installed custom fw and everything looks ok besides the " poor " space avaiable for applications.

Anyway, I'd like to know what is the best media player for this tablet. I tried Mobo but it didn't worked very well. After some research I ended up installing " VitalPlayer Neon ". This works without problems, but isn't soo good as mobo player.

Default player also works well, but don't read subtitles. So, what players do you guys recommend ? Is there any way to make mobo player works ? Maybe codecs ?

Thanks.

Moboplayer or Rockplayer are quite ok.

You can also try MX Video Player that is a pretty good player with subtitles support.

Are you sure Moboplayer works on this tablet ?

I tried to play a mkv and mobo only plays sound. No video at all. Also tried one avi and it was really slow.

Maybe I need to install some codecs ?

MX video player works great for me... with subtitles, .vob with ac3 (or whatever sound that is so often hard to get decoded), and also a messed up avi which gives vitalplayer neon and vlc trouble.

Just want to report that MX Video Player works great! Finally I found a player that works without a problem.

Thanks!

I wonder if the "plain" version of mx vp is the most suitable for our device. There are various arm model specialty versions to make better use of specific hardware features. What are we, arm8 or nothing on the mx list?

The Rockchip RK2918 inside the Arnova 10 G2 is a single core CPU using ARMv7 ABI.

I haven't tried the specific ARMv7 codec on MX Video Player.

If you do, please let us know how it goes 😉

The arm7 version of mxvp doesn't appear to work on my an10g2

The regular mxvp works so well, I am setting the checkbox to always use it over regular video player (even though I don't know how to reverse this after it is set).

Changing the file association is done thru Settings / Applications / Manage applications

Then find your application in the list, go to "All" tab if needed.

From the specific application settings, push the "Clear defaults" button, it will remove the association with that application.
