im on 9g2 no root but i agree ith finless with golauncher

Dolphin hd is the best browser in my opinion as it has lots of plugins, firefox has alot more but it cased my device to crash toomuch but still nice browser
I use baytery indicator its handy as it sits on status bar and gives you bayter charge percent so you no when you run out of charge
By far the best is advanced task killer its invaluable you can just presss the widget and it stops all your unused apps running and frees up memory

To easily exchange apps between smartphone and tablet appstomosaic. Love it. It freezes installed apps in a portable mosaic of icons.

I long ago tested it and found it inferior to vitalplayer neon and very inferior to mx video player. This is using the criteria of playing more file types and codecs, and mx video player has pushed the bar incredibly high and transformed the cheap arnova into a rival to more expensive devices. I just hope folks know how to back up a personal copy in case mx video player yanks support from arnovas due to too many complaints about the notif bar issue hurting their ratings (it actually will sometimes play almost full screen).

Sorry to clutter this list with discussion, but I think it was premature kudos. Maybe qq has improved their product but otherwise I think mx video player is the single most transformative app for your arnova. It is irrelevant to me how some player might look a tiny bit better or worse for any given video file - if it works on the stock player then go ahead and use it! The stock player is more integrated with the hardware and will do fullscreen and hardware optimization best. Alternate video apps are mainly for handling things the others simply won't.

A good game on this tablet is Pool Break Lite. Various versions of pool and snooker, works really well and looks great on the big screen. Available on the Market, and not sure if you can get it on Appslib.

just wanting to get opinions of task killers?

reading a lot of for and against arguments about "Advanced Task Killer" and the various other versions.

Some say as of OS 2.2 , the software handles the open apps , and closes them when not needed or idle, no need for a task killer,

Others state then if its not needed why does performance increase when i use them. (dodgy apps perhaps)

any comments as to experiences on 2.3 using them or not?

I am using GO Launchers task manager widget as well as Android Assistant and it's memory cleaner widget.  When your system gets a little slow due to junk running in the background these two tools really clean it up so you do not have to do a cold boot.  I played with Advanced task killer and it seemed to work OK but I prefer these two tools.

FYI Android Assistant it a program with lots of utilities however if you install this don't forget to put the widget on your desktop to get the cool memory cleaner!!!!

I've tried with go launcher 2.70 as damo said, but it slowed down my tablet, so I instaled SPB launcher and that solve the problem.

Now I have other questions, anyone know how I can play with an USB gamepad? When I use the virtual pad on emulators like PSX or FPSE, or when I play game slike shadowgun it gets really slow but when I release the virtual pad it goes to normal speed. So I need to use a USB gamepad to see if not breaks. Or if someone know how to solve my problem please tell me.

Other question that I have is that if I install chanfire 3D it will help the tablet running heavy games. And why does the games from gameloft say that they're not compatible with the tablet?

These are all my questions, sorry if there's any errors with my english, I'm portuguese, and thanks to damo and ttz642t for reply to my question before :).

You could try Adw ex launcher, it is a lot smother than
Go launcher and has loads of options and is well supported
By the developer. I have used it before and have just
Put it back on today.
