Hi All, Newcomer to tablet, since I was brought up with Win3.11,'95, '98, XP, this has turned out to be a whole new ball game.  Is there  File manager and a Internet Explorer apps that have similiar format/layout of those in win98?

Does one clean out rubbish and defrag' on a Tablet?

How does one download an app without installing it?

Is there an app to display .txt (downloaded Stories)

Hi,

Like you fairly new to android but learning quick

Check out this link for book readers http://goodereader.com/blog/tablet-slates/the-top-5-best-ereader-apps-for-android-tablets/

As for cleaning out rubbish

CacheCleaner NG from the Android market is my favourite one.

Astro file manager is decent file manager that I use.

As for downloading apps without installing them you need to either search google for the app you want with apk at the end of it. You can register on alternative Android market sites and they let you download these apk program files directly to your computer. To run them just put them on your memory card on your tablet, go into any file manager and click on the apk file and this will install the program automatic for you. As for internet explorer browser try using Dolphin Hd it is a very fast and straightforward browser, although not like the old Internet explorer is will be easy to use and probably the best browser for Android anyway.

My advise to you is to go onto the Android Market on your device and search for the programs you want and try them out, what may be good for one person may not be good for another, that is the way I have done it.

Hope this helps you out a bit[Image Can Not Be Found]

Thank you for all the tips, will go through them today.

Do you also know a .txt reader for stories downloaded in that format?

All the best Jack

[Image Can Not Be Found] As you say, Astro file manager is excellent, had trouble just getting the .apk, but one in the end.

All the other F'M's that I had installed are now uninstalled.

In internet explorer one can save that site/page in many formats, how do you do it in Astro? (.txt will do)

How does one Save a picture of a site to Arnova 10g2?

How to stop Security certificate from appearing?

Set up an additional Ymail account for the Arnova, program much more clearer.

Is there an idiots book for the Arnova[Image Can Not Be Found]?

If anyone has the answer to the above, a direct email would be appreciated.

All the best ..jackgrogan@ymail.com

To Damo and all, 'learn fast' is correct. To date have found 'File Expert' has the edge over Astro. has a better text display too. Excellant facilities.

As for .txt readers, (for downloaded stories) Trying out Cool reader, flipover page, black font/white background.

Ireader, slide page, all colour display avail'.

Moon-reader, slide page and all colours display.

All the apps mentioned are Free and not site linked.

Still looking for a site page  'Save as'  mht/opinions-on-teclast-p90hdxt to dir'  APP.

Anyone know of one??
