Hi – my wife will be the proud owner of a 10 G2 this Christmas (hopefully), and I've already had a play with it and it looks pretty good value for money.

The only problem I've got is the not being able to charge via micro-USB cable, which I've got used to.  Does anyone know whether spare chargers can be bought from anywhere, or if any other chargers for other devices are compatible?  I've had a mooch around the internet, and I can't see any answers to this questions, so any advice would be appreciated.

For reference, the charger connection I've got is about the same size as the old Nokia chargers (not the newer thin ones, but the old fat ones).

Thanks

Jim,

The Arnova 10 G2 does not charge via the micro USB connection, you need to use a charger thru the power connector. The power charger is the same as the Arnova 10 (first generation) or some Archos Gen8 like Archos 70 IT or Archos 101 IT.

See here for the charger pictures and specs for the Arnova 10 (G1):

You can buy the charger from Archos or probably other compatible equipements

See “Adapter 5V 2A with 3 plugs” here:

To Admin', just a comment about the charger for the 10g2.

First the twin flat cable gets in such a mess, can you change

that in the future for the round cable? (as supplied with Nokia

chargers,they got it right.)

Secondly the plug does not fit wholely into the socket on the 10g2 ??

I hope no one is thinking of using a Nokia 'phone charger for 10g2  tablet,

although it is a 5 volt dc it can only supply 100ma of current, unlike the

the required 2 AMPs for the 10g2.

Lastly I would like to suggest that File-Expert has the edge over Astro,

for file managers, personal choice.

all the best     jack75Cool
