Hi - I have an Archos 101 internet tablet with firmware 2.4.83 (android 2.2.1)
I want to give my tablet to my neighbour and obviously want to remove my personal data - especially my Gmail account which seems to be attached to everything.
However it doesn't let me just remove account. It keeps telling me to do a factory reset.... however won't this remove ArcTools and Google Play apps? It was ever so painful to get all this setup and working to begin with... does anyone have any advice on how I can just assign her gmail account to everything and then remove my account without loss of - what I consider to be - basic functionality (frankly I think it's silly that these tablets are sold without GooglePlay already installed - so thank you Arctools for making it possible to have a decently operating tablet to begin with!)
No - as I said it doesn't just let me do that. Tried it first thing.
What has worked is going to ArcTools app and uninstalling the Google apps from there - the account seems to have disappeared now. However, I've not tried adding my neighbour's email account and seeing if that works ok to attach to Google Play yet. But at least I've removed my account and not had to factory reset - yet...
