After using this guide and installing CWM with arctools on my EKB311B tv box I can boot CWM but I cant backup or update firmware. All I get is "Cant find Misc" and also cant mount errors. I can still boot android and CWM but I can do a factory reset I cant flash a new ROM with CWM. I cant get windows to recognize my device or I would use rkbatch to reflash a whole new ROM. Im kinda new at this so PLEASE anybody help me. Ive seen a few other people who used arctools with the rk3188 generic CWM have the same errors

Hi guys and thanks a million!
Just to let you know (in case nobody else did) that the "(OMA / CrewRKTablets) CWM Recovery 184.108.40.206 for Android 4.4.2 KitKat on RK tablets (loader Gen2) runs beautifuly on Android Mini PC (stick), A9 quad processor,RK3188, running ugoos kit Kat firmware!
Tried another one of the options (think it was manupc KitKat version) but it got semi-bricked!Reflashed KK firmware and this version and all runs smoothly!

Hello. I'm new here.
I have a Xoro Pad 9720 QR with Android 4.2.2, Rockchip3188. I wish to install the KitKat Version 4.4 on this Tablet because of the Bluetooth Low Energy - Function. This function works only with Android 4.3 and higher. So I have no choice but update the Tablet.
I've read through most of the forums and found out that it is possible to update this tablet.
My Problem now is that there is no actual source to download the necessary files.
Perhaps OMA7144 can help me?
I've never rooted any device. So please be patient with me, when I'm asking some (in your eyes) silly questions.
please help, I'm kinda a newb when it comes to mobile. I've been in prison for a long time now but before I came I was quite familiar with computers in windows environments. I've been doing my best to learn everything about android now because the prison has given us tablets. The problem is that, of course they have attempted to completely lock down the tablets. I've gained superuser privileges on the system using both their own su daemon (does not use su binary) as well as with rooting with kingo one click but many regular su actions such as programs that require su to operate or doing command line actions don't work because of their security setup. When using their inbuilt su daemon I have to do everything through shell scripts but have written to the rom with it. I want to install a custom recovery and ROM but have two misgivings about it and am not sure if they are problems. The first is that I'm worried that trying to put a custom on here will brick the tablet because of jpays restrictions. The second is that from what I've been able to understand I will have to port everything to my device because it is not standard. The hardware is a rockchip ARM cortex A9 revision r3p0 1.6 GHz processor with mali-400 MP GPU, 1024 MB ram, 0.98 GB rom, rk30board. Software android 4.2.2 kernel 3.0.36+. Also installed Arc tools from first page but only got apk no zip and just like with other programs wanting su when I try to use it just to boot and see if it works it just hangs. Any help is greatly appreciated, also any suggestions on books I should read to improve my understanding of these systems would also be appreciated. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Did I have a stroke or are all the links dead? I feel as if I'm being Punk'd because everytime I think I'm approaching the end of this winding road where the software and tools for my tablet are located I find myself hunting for a new path. I know, this is an old thread but my frustration is completely new. I guess it wouldn't be practical to maintain links for every file hosted on a server forever but I still want to punch a kitten.
