it doesn's work for me on a Odys Union 10 with a rooted 4.2.2.

I installed the apk, select the right package, download, install apps, reboot recovery and the screen goes black. Nothin happens.

Then pressed the power button for a few seconds - nothing, then pressed it again and it boot up normaly.

But no CWM recovery.

 

Do you have any hints for me?

Nah try this method , the same thing only different method to install. If still cannot then it means that the ODYS has got different partition structure (which I doubt). FYI By the way installing the ArchTools apk only doesnt nearly make it because there is a companion zip file that it comes with in which contains a script file hat is read by the ArchTool. 

What do you mean only apk? Please disable your Windows Anti-virus first or anything that prevents the full download. This "method" is called the manual method (like is normally done by others models/brand) BUT a note here you MUST already be rooted. Without root you are forced to to flash recovery from PC only (but using this CWM/TWRP is this particular one given especially the CWM which is a generic version)You have to rename the files to just "recovery.img"!

This is what it should look inside the zip file , I had attached in my previous message. Please find the attached zip file first. I didnt put in any script file inside there so I dont know what you are referring to. Copy the "Rk3188_CWM.img" into your internal sdcard (You have to rename it to just "recovery.img" ) Run the Recovery flasher get them to recognise the "recovery.img" (It has been 3 years since I last installed CWM/TWRP on RK3188.)

Just make sure you dont mix them up. I hate using button combinations to get into recovery , I recommend you use : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siriusapplications.quickboot . Just press the icon and select reboot /reboot into recovery/ power off/ ect , ect.

NOTE : ALL OF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TRUE ONLY IF YOU HAVE ROOT WITH BUSYBOX INSTALLED

I told you I forgotten the app that I used to flash this recovery it has been 2 years already,that is why I gave you a few options try them for size. Try Rashr then Kannan. I am currently more into MTK rather than RK SoC

Sorry friend, the best no complication method is to use Win 7 OS. To use Win 10 for RK flashing process is either complicated for novice users or it will not work at all, bcoz the drivers were not meant to be used with Win10 ( the best is only Win8 not even Win8.1)

Sorry, but you are wrong there about Win10. I do use all RK- Win-tools under Win 10, and it works perfect.

The problem for most users is to get the adb (bootloade)drivers installed properly. For this, Win 10 must be "New Started" with the shift-button pressed, then you can choose in the upcoming Win-Problem Screen Advanced Options > Change of startup mode > Restart > select 7 or F7, andWindows reboots with Driver signature check disabled. Only after this you can  install the drivers and make them functional.
