Hi,

i'm trying to install the Android Market on my Arnova 10 G2.

The device was already in Official ICS 4.0.3 but without Play store.

I've downloaded the ArcTools 0.8 but i have the following two errors (maybe only one but I need info):

1. In Firmware tab, I don't have any choice for firmawre. (I watch that video: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/installing-android-market-arnova-10-g2-ez-custom-firmware/#comment-41263 to change the frimware).

Maybe it's because I'm already in ICS 4.0.3?

2. When I try to install Market, I have the error 28(cannot Create temporary directory) and error 20 (fout bij kopieren bestand) appears.

Do I have to change the firmware? If yes, how because of question 1 :)

Thanks in advance.

Lou

Also the youtube is full with videos, and here on the website there are literally hundreds of times posted the flashing guides and process.

Dear globula_neagra,

I know there are a lot of video of flashing device but with rockchip batchTool.

As I said, it was without rockchip batch tool.

And i spend a lot of time in the forum before posting the question...

I think my case is a new one because the tablet is already installed with the official ICS 4.0.3. (when I buy it).

Thanks for your reply

Luis.

The arctools does not work on your tablet because it has a different build.prop then a one with Gingerbread.
Also you are not able to download any market packs because you don`t have root.

Therefore, the only way to flash will be by using the normal flashing method.

The following users say thank you to globula_neagra for this useful post:

Dear globula_neagra,

Thanks for your quick reply :)

Wich is the normal way to flash it? when I search on google or into the forum, it's always with the Rochchip Batch method.

And this one seems not to work because the tablet is not recognized by the computer when I'm in flashing mode. I read the troubleshooting part of http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/flashing-arnova-g2-rockchip-2918-rockchip-flashing-tool/ and the solution didn't solve this. I looked in the device manager and fond the RK29 Device but the program Rockship Batch Tool didn't find it. Now, the version I tried was 0.80. Maybe I should try whith an older? Or I probably do something wrong?

Thank you very much.

Luis.

Thank you.

I've tried this method but maybe I did something wrong. I'll try again asap and keep you informed.

The third link will be usefull because i tried only with standard cable and front USB... Maybe this is the error.

Luis.
