I try in the some condiction band the WiFi signal is more strenght... bit the display in HD mode continue to flikering.

Have you tested the bandwith ? Is Youtube video playing smooth ?

Hi, do you have any updates on this?

I am experiencing the same issue, even after updating to version 20130130.111032 - February 06st, 2013.

Furthermore now sometimes the screen flickers, but it did never happen before the update.

I am getting screen flickers too as you can see on our 97 Titanium HD videos on our Youtube channel.

I'm not done yet with my WiFI benchmarks, but that's results so far are pretty much like my previous tests, with bandwidth dropping quite far when the tablet is few meters away from the WiFI access point.

I'll post my full tests results when I'm done.

Upgraded to latest firmware today. Download speed: 0.8Mbps, upload speed, 3.8 Mbps. Not possible to connect with my laptop and mobile phone in tethering mode (connection OK in Settings but browser doesn't get anything from a website). Something definitely wrong with the Wifi system of the Archos.... Another firmware upgrade?

 

Tried to register at Archos support forum but the tablet wasn't listed there so I couldn't register :(

I believe  the ARCHOS 97 Titanium HD has just broken WIFI hardware, they probably fix it the best they could with the first firmware update but there isn't much to expect.

With the broken WIFI, slow HD performance, interface lag, screen bleeding and so on... I don't think it's exaggerated to consider the product as non working, return it to ARCHOS as RMA hoping for a device replacement with a working model or different product with equivalent specs.
