I'm new to both Archos and Android stuff so please be gentle! I have set a pin and I would expect to be able to see all of the numeric keypad when I turn on the machine. If I have the machine in the landscape position and the pin keypad appears below the clock and the bottom numbers and, more importantly the "ok" button are not visible. So how do I get it to appear to the right of the clock which is where it normally appears after the machine locks itself?

it seems to be an issue with the density of the screen, it should be solved via a firmware, or by rooting the tablet and modify manually the line, tough it can be arguable, because from what i remember in jelly bean, the density can not be anymore enforced via build.prop

Are you saying that there is a firmware update available? If so how do I get it?

No, i think that a firmware should be available soon, considering that all the tablet will have the issue that you talk.
Report also to archos about issue.
