You have create a block dump, it's a image like an archive but you can't open all dump. The system image can be opened because it's a ext4 file system like actual linux. You have dump a unknown block with a unknown file system.
I think you want to make some change on "/system/" on your android ?
Why to root? Not much to fancy about, but still...
I think i've gained some extra battery life by changing cpu governors - hotplug currently when on battery. I've been able to uninstall system apps - bundled google software and archos multimedia software - which seemed quite good but a little too heavy. I have yet to find a solution to enable connections to an ad hoc wifi network with this tablet.
Also i've installed custom host file to get rid of some adds.
I've installed a full!screen+ app to be able to hide taskbar (or is it a system bar).
I imagine my system is more lean now than before, and seems more responsive.
I've uploaded my unmodified original system.loop file, also recovery.backup i've created following this howto. I bricked my tablet once during rooting process, as i recall flashing CWM recovery to my tablet and booting into it and fixing permissions from there fixed it but i'm not sure.
Refer to the howto for how to write these images back to a device.
sir what is the procedure for those who does not have linux using windows ? i bricked my archos tablet with wrong firmware then i awake it up with visture . but for once. i turned it off to save the battery and from that time it wont turn on . dont know wat happened . cwm was successfully install and i saw a penguin logo as well . still sleeping tablet.
