Regarding this (link below) it is possible to root it.
Does someone have ever tried it? It is also said that a filled up system partion is slowing down the device.
Would be nice to get feedback from one of the owners.
Are there devices out in the market, which share the same hardware?
Edit: Sorry, just have seen, that there is already a thread here. But anyhow: any simular devices in the marked?
There is Onda v972 which has a similar (identical beside the webcam from what I remember) hardware.
Don't think so. As fas as I found is the Onda based on an Allwinner A31.
Titanium is a Rockchip RK3066 with 1GB RAM.
Chuwi V99 Retina has same spec, but more Flash (16GB). I also found vido n90fhd, Cube U9GT5 and Visture 4HD. Why I am asking - because of maybe joined forces to get a custom rom.
But I don't know whether they really share same hardware or partitioning of flash. They all have same chipset and retina, but that doesn't mean they are compatible.
Yea Onda V972 is Allwinner A31 based, so is the ARCHOS 97 Platinum, not Titanium.
The best I could get when building a custom firmware for a RK3066 "Retina" tablet is this firmware:
which is made for Cube U9GT5 and should be compatible with: Chuwi V99, Visture V4HD, Yuandao N90 FHD and Hyundai Play X900.
It's not tested on the ARCHOS 97 Titanium, yet
