Hi to all,
I would like to know if someone has or had had this tablet.
If it is a good tablet to purchase (I would use it to read technical book and magazines in pdf format, some internet browsing via wifi at home or via wifi tethering with my alcatel 997d smatphone, skype and google hangout (video calls) and maybe to experiment a bit installing a linux distro on top of android or dual booting).
So I need a great (10.1") and well defined screen (1280x800), an hdmi output, an usb host to be able to use a 32 or 64 GB pen drive (fat32 or ntfs).
Moreover I would like to be able to recharge it via USB, in case by creating a special cable from USB to DC pin.
Finally the device must have the bootloader unblocked and must be rootable.
Is it the right device? Have you ever had issues that have obliged you to send it to repair? Is it reliable?
I got this tablet this week, its narrower than the pictures you will see, a few apps I had on the arnova 9g2 with jellybean does not work on it, when moving apps to an sd card after reboot, they are back on the tablets flash drive, It doesnt seem to be rooted yet, takes ages to charge and looses the charge quickly. you can read the books, browse internet, skype works but the microphone is not very good. its good for a cheap device, it has issues, it will do most of what you want....
The following users say thank you to djfonixie for this useful post:Xwang
It does not charge via USB, none of the ROCKCHIP tablets charge via USB
Also look here for the bootloader side.
