Hi guys, i have rooted easily this tablet with one software (Oh yeah, one click root).Â
The proceedings is quick and easy:
1: Download this software: http://products.mgyun.com/api/downjump?id=55
2: Open it (and agree all conditions)
3: Grab your usb cable and connect your tablet at your pc
4: Enable "Debug USB"
5:Now the software will download the info of your device and will recognize the Archos 70 Titanium. At this point will appears a green button, press it and the software will start to install the root. After this process the tablet restarts and after this you  will see a new chinese program in your tablet (obviously it's the root app).
PAY ATTENTION: When you install an app who needs the root, after start it, Â will appear a message for authorize the root; Remember, for authorize always press the right button.
Ps: Do this at your own risk.
For me worked without problems, i wish will be the same for you!
Pps: Sorry for my bad english!Â

he can not use the same way to dump the tablet, since he has root, he should just use adb, and dump the partitions to the sdcard.

no, the dump with dd needs to be re-packed in a flashable update.img, if someone can dump, the system/boot/kernel/misc/backup and upload it somewhere, share the link, we will create the update.img

you don`t need all of them, only the system/kernel/misc/boot
