Hi @ all,

I'm new to this forum and I just bought an Archos Platinum 97b HD.

So far, in 3 days, I already rooted, bricked, flashed it in all ways so this tablet has no secrets for me now.

What I'm complaining about is the GPU not being able to support smoothly the retina resolution, which is 2048x1536. After having gained the root access I suddenly installed a resolution changer from the Play Store and started to test alternative resolutions. I found that the old Titanium HD had a setting that could switch through HD or SD definition (2048x1536 to 1600x1200) but my tablet hasn't this :(

I tried with 1600x1200 @ 240 DPI and the tablet kept his original UI scale but I have an annoying problem: The screen is shifted in the Y direction... I mean that I have the lower half of the screen totally black and the upper half of the screen showing what the lower half should show, making this tablet unusable.

Do you know if there's a system variable to edit and shift the origin of the UI to match the screen correctly? Confused

in this video  at second 36 you will see the resolution to seet for a retina display...don't know about the dpi...

 

do you have any rom or ideas about modding in this tablet? thanks
