Hello Exelletor,
Someone told me, on a French Forum, that this Firmware was fixing the HDMI ouput issue... but I cannot download it on my tab (the tool to check firmware updates is not working anymore ...), and this firmware is not available on their website.
I gave a call to their support team today, and they don't even know that a new firmware is available (no, I am not kidding!)
Did you give it a try???
If you could upload the zip somewhere, I would love to give it a try. Otherwise, I'll have to reset my tab to factory settings ( again ....) to try to have the firmware update process back to life.
Regards, Toupie.
Hello Toupie,
I am curious to know if this update fixes the Android Master Key vulnerability, can you please check with Bluebox Security Scanner and let us know about the results ?
Cheers.

Hello Exelletor,
Thanks a lot for the link.
I did install the firmware on my tab, and will test a few things during the week-end.
I'll let you know my feeling about this new update.
Thanks again, Toupie.
can you at least give us info about android version and sdk used? Or it's just a bugfix
Looking at the build signature, looks like at best it's just a bug-fix release.
Still Android 4.2.2 (archos/RK31AC97BPL/AC97BPL:4.2.2/JDQ39/20140121.174128:user/release-keys)
Old SDK: ro.rksdk.version=RK31_ANDROID4.2.2-SDK-v1.08.00-20130807
Linux version 3.0.36+ (caron@debian) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #63 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 21 17:41:17 CET 2014
Cheers.

About the "Master Key Vulnerability", yes, it is still there... Bluebox Security Scanner reports a "Vulnerable to bug 8219321".
That means bug 9695860 is reported as fixed ?
Cheers.

Sorry, it was not clear indeed ... No the bug is still present, and not fixed.
Cheers, Toupie.
Jammed_Death,
ARCHOS should release kernel source code for their Android tablets to comply to LGPL license, not doing so surely does not help independent developers to work on firmwares.
Maybe custom firmwares from other Retina like tablets may be adapted, watch CrewRKTablets forum section.
Cheers
