Hello, I had a version of g apps on the 101 for around a year. In mid December I started getting sync errors and could not load new emails or access the Android Marketplace anymore. I tried resetting the tablet and installing the g apps from ArcTab. It installed ok, but I get the "Unable to connect to the server" message and can't get into any of the g apps. Am I missing something or do you have to be rooted for this to work?

No need to root, it should run fine if you reset your device from the settings menu.
It seems to be an isolated case as this hasn't been reported by other users of G8 devices, nor we have been able to reproduce the problem (just tested on a 101 and 70 IT).
Maybe another try after a full reset and reboot could help...
