Xbox 360 wired and wireless support for RK3188 based tablets
FYI,
I tried installing this to my iFive X2 (an RK3188 based tablet) running Kasty's custom ROM.
Unfortunately, this install did not work on my tablet. However, I did some research both online and in my tablet's log files and I was able to get my Xbox 360 wireless controller working on my iFive X2.
It ends up that Kasty's ROM already has xpad support built in, so I simply had to install 2 keylayout files and 1 keychars file to the appropriate folders to get android to properly recognise the USB devices and now my tablet supports both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers. I am putting together a procedure with all the needed files and I expect this will work on most other RK3188 based tablets as well.
For anyone that is in a hurry to try this, this links to my .zip containing all necessary files:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B52NEACNrGeqbURtU1NVUV95b1E/edit?usp=sharing
You just need to extract all 4 files to a folder on the device and then run xb360inst.sh as root.
Also, there is no need to start a service as documented in the RK3066 instructions, just plug in the Xbox 360 wireless receiver (either genuine MS or clone), sync the controller (the LEDs on the controller will continue to flash, but the led on the receiver will go solid) and you are good to go.
