Request guide for Gamepad Root

Hello to all. I read all the topics about this rooted devices. But someone has the root of the gamepad without installing custom firmware? I have tried using Z4root (freeze) and superoneclick 2.3.3 (stuck at step 7). Some help? thanks

Currently the only valid way to get root is flashing the custom firmware prepared by admin and You should write in that Topic!

I am thinking to prepare a simpler rooted firmware to flash, that won't require to use Rockchip Batch tool.

I'll post on that later when something is ready to test.

Hello Admin,

Did you had a chance to create a simple rooted firmware to flash, that won't require to use Rockchip Batch tool. Which is simple like an official update.

GAMEPAD

1. Download the update file « update.img » to your PC.

2. Connect the USB cable to your Archos and your computer.

3. Copy the « update.img » to the root of the Internal Storage. Do not place it into any folder of the Archos, just to the root level of the device.

4. Unplug your device of the PC.

5. The Archos will find the update automatically and display a message box offering to install this new firmware. Before tapping on "Install", you need to connect the charger/adapter DC-IN to your device.

hi admin i would like that when you do it as im not that good at this, simpler the better please any idea when the next update will be as ive just got my gamepad updated it with the firmware update from archos would like to root it though but dont understand it all just yet
