As the title suggests I would like to know if you can install ClockworkMod in the GamePad.
I saw this article about installation on all terminals, it would be nice to make a nand backup and restore in case of brick.
It should be possible as many other RK3066 tablets run it too, I'll soon have a look and post about the results.
PS: Megabit, I'll remove your duplicate topic.

No worries, but I removed the other post, it's best to ask question to a specific device in the appropriate section.
I'll post my test results in the forum and the files with installation instructions if it's working fine.
Cheers.

I have tried a ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.1.0 from another RK3066 tablet, it doesn't work properly.
CWMR starts, but the keys (Power and Vol-/+) do not work, the recovery also doesn't seem to be stable as the main screen restarts again and again.
I'll see if that can be fixed when I have some time.
Cheers.

Ok, have you used original boot.img to compile the recovery?
@Edit for all:
I have successfully obtained a NANDroid Backup, using just the app "Nandroid Backup Online" that you can download on Play Store here. Make sure you have root and installed the latest Busybox available. Follow the on-screen instructions and at the end of the procedure you will find a folder "clockworkmod" with your Backup.

Succesfully flashed a Clockworkmod to my gamepad following this tutorial :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30842147
Christian Troy has been able to bring CWM to RK3066 devices. I'm laying a How-To here, but I don't guarantee that CWM will work flawlessly or as intended. I just used these steps to install it on my tablet, and they worked,
You need the update.img with the ROM you're using in your tablet, Wendal's tools to unpack RK images, and Christian Troy's CWM build.
1) Unzip the file which contains Wendal's tools.
2) Rename your update.img to wendal.img and move it to the folder where Wendal's tools are.
3) Run Runme.bat
4) Go to the Temp folder and copy the parameter file you have obtained.
5) Unzip the file which contains CWM.
6) Enter the folder which says "rom" and paste the parameter file from your tablet, replacing the one that is there.
7) Run the RKAndroidTool app in the CWM folder.
8) Connect your tablet in Flashmode: switch it off, and connect it while you hold the VOL+ button. If Windows doesn't find the drivers, they're packaged in the "Drivers" folder of the CWM file.
9) Now the RKAndroidTool should recognize your tablet. Click on "Flash ROM".
10) The tablet will restart in CWM after the flashing. Just poke around for a bit, and if everything's all right, restart the tablet,
buttons work for up and down also the volume buttons but to enter a menu option You have to hold the select button and press the power button, remember this !!! Â first you have to enable the back button this can be done by pressing volume + and after that Volume - (quick) you get a line saying "Back menu button enabled" whe you press it again then it's disabled.
It's only clockworkmod 5.5.0.4 but it's a start
I'm not a developer just someone who likes to experiment with android and a flash junkieÂ
to enter the CWM menu start the gamepad with he volume - button and power button pressed.
note: for step 8 you have to use both volume buttons just like the way to flash the root firmware
also many thanks to Christian Troy and Wendell for his toolsÂ

Which features have you tried with this CWM ? Do you get full functionality in NAND backup/restore ?
Cheers.

Try the recovery from cobalt
How to do it:
-unpack the current cwm recovery
-unpack the cobalt cwm recovery
In the ramdisk folder from cobalt cwm you will find a folder named "sbin"
In the sbin folder you will find a file named "recovery"
This "recovery" file, is the actual recovery.
Replace the Gamepad "recovery", with the Cobalt one.
As for the keys
In the "res" folder there is a file called "keys"
There are 2 ways here:
1)Either use the keys from the stock recovery
2)Use the keys from the current recovery.
Repack
Flash

@globula_negra
If you make such suggestions then please also link to the resources where to get these, some users are new to this community yep also developers and they might not know where the different developing points are gathered around so you help those greatly if you allways point up to the resources of other Developer/Modder
Like Christian_Troy, Finless, Roman, AndrewDB, Fun, deadhp1, omegamoon,Wendal that made some progress on RK3066 device modding Tablet/Sticks
I find it hell of a pain to find these resources and im new, and mostly because people talk about it but dont link to them
And some time goes then into searching the resources which i could save if people just would link to them properly
