My problem is this:
It seems the GamePad does turn on, but nothing is displayed in the screen. If I connect the GamePad to the pc by usb while the screen is totally black I can browse the content of the device. Pressing the power button once doesn't give any result. Holding down the power button for 10 secs the connection with the pc is lost and after a short while the Archos still image appears. After that the animated Archos image appears, the connection with the pc is reestablished, the screen goes entirely black and the GamePad's bootup sound is played but nothing appears on the display.
The support documentation concerning this device is very minimal. I can't find any way to hard reset it. What can I do myself to get it working again?
I've also uploaded a video which might make the issue even clearer.
I've found some similar issues on this forum:
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-gamepad/archos-not-booting-up
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-gamepad/impossible-to-run-the-tablet
I've already tried these steps (charging the device an entire night, holding down the volume and power buttons simultaneously) to solve the problem but without the desired result. Both end in a RMA but I can't believe that there isn't a simple hard reset which might solve the issue.
Reflashing your GamePad with the stock firmware should do the job.
The firmware is available on Archos website:
http://update.archos.com/10/gamepad/update.img
The generic procedure for flashing is there on our Rockchip Batch Tool page.
Our GamePad forum section should have more details on the flashing procedure specific to the GamePad.
Cheers.

admin,
Thank you very much!
Is followed the generic flashing procedure, had some trouble to enter the flash/recovery mode until I found this http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-gamepad/archos-gamepad-rooted/page-12/#p23589. Now I was able to restore the original firmware and it seems to have worked perfectly. The GamePad restarted and loaded the OOBE so it seems te be okay.
