Hello, I found this post where V10 is installed CyanogenMod on rk3066 and would like to know if this version can somehow be compatible with the GamePad.

I am planning to try this CM10 and another one I found for RK3066 devices. It won't work out of the box and will probably need some serious work before we get something smooth and stable… I'm not sure it's worth the pain, as ARCHOS firmware seems well optimized and supported (updates).

I agree that the current (rooted) firmware is pretty much "good as is".
However, it would be real nice to let the OWNER of the device decide whether the camera or microphone can be deactivated or not…!!! Not everyone is lucky about owning such a spying device, especially since it is
called "Gamepad" not "Spypad".
I hope that someone with the right knowledge is able to change that (soon).
