Same to me, but solved it. Solution was to enable "USB Debugging" before entering the rescue mode. Else windows 7 was unable to use the driver packed with Rockchip Batch Tool.

To my knowledge, Archos hasn't posted any update, so the custom rooted firmware posted in page #1 should still be up to date.

Cheers.

I have successfully flashed the rooted firmware and it works fine but I have the following problems:

Mapping tool is not working as it is supposed to. the keys work for apps that are already premapped but when i touch the little pad icon the screen with the mapping options does not appear whereas before flashing it was working just fine. Also if i click outside of a game the mapping tool the screen goes blink for one moment as if its going to load the app and then goes back to launcher any help here?

Additionally one question: I have seen people in youtube playing n.o.v.a 3 in gamepad but when i install and load it via apk it says my device is not compatible and should ask for refund. How can I overcome this compatibility with games? I tried the prob.build editor and changed the manufacturer and model into samsung S3 but it isn't tricked..

Thank you in advance for your prompt reply.

P.S: Do u know where to find the original stock firmware to revert to if necessary?

haven't heard anyone having problems with the mapping tool but there is a update for it in de play store you should try that, I succesfully mapped various game with no problems.

about the N.O.V.A 3 question I think they made a backup of the game from a device that is supported by N.O.V.A  and then restored it on the gamepad (tools like Romtoolbox or Titanium will do that) I did it with romtoolbox for GTA3 and that worked great.

Nova 3 is compatible for me. It's probably not in your country.

also, is there a way to improve the performance in Nova 3 a bit?
It works good but it could be better.

UPDATE: I have reflashed the rooted firmware and now the mapping tool is working properly. Could be an app that blocked it. Also regarding the nova 3 problem i was using an old apk i installed 1.05 version and it works fine. Also I used directory bind to transfer the large obb packages of Nova 3 and Modern Combat 3 to external SD card. It seems now that the gamepad is delivering as it should. I am quite happy by it.

hello everyone,
I'm sorry for my English, but I do not find the answer to my problem in any other forum.
I followed the tutorial as explained above, but I always find myself at square one, my windows vista 64, finds no compatible driver in the RockusbDriver directory, then I tried on my other computer with windows seven 32 , same thing!
are there any solution please?

Did you activate the Development Options on your device? That was the solution for me, while Win7 64bit does not find a correct driver wihtin the RocksubDriver directory

Do you know is there is a way to flash Siyah Kernel onto the Archos Gamepad? If it works with the JFG rom or the stock Archos Gamepad rom?
