I'm planning on creating my own custom firmware.
But I need a working custom recovery AND a way to restore the stock recovery and firmware, in case I fuck up.
For the Gamepad 1, I was able to do this with the RK Batchtool and the official update.img file.
But for the Gamepad 2 it seems Archos is now using update.zip files for recovery.
So I'm unsure if I'm able to restore the thing with a wrong recovery or having a paperweight...

Does someone know anything?

update.zip doesn't contain kernel and parameter for example, it is not the full firmware, but just a flashable part of it.

i think nothing at the moment, only root

i have the same device,i rooted it,work good,i made a lot of changes, i hide native apps, and delete some native apps, know i cant remember password and i cant unhide native apps

early i try to install cwm recovery by arctools.apk and i killed my stock recovery

i cant restore my gamepad, if somebody know how to help me?

nexxus86 if you have time for creating a custom firmware or a cwm recovery,i will

risk to install them.because i dont have another way to restore my gamepad 2

sorry for my bad english,i think you will understand me
