Hi all, I've bought a few days ago an Archos Gen10 80 XS (K) with android 4.1.1...
I've uploaded kasty firmware from arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-g10/root-the-80xs/ to my storage, so I upgraded and rooted my device.
Now I would to install sde firmware... But I didn't found any information about it... I've read that I must downgrade my android 4.1.1 to ICS 4.0.24... How can I do this?
I tried to rename aos file downloaded from archos archive to img but upgrade doesn't success...
Everyone could help me?
You are confusing the model 80XS which uses a RK3066 processor with the model 101XS which has a Texas Instruments processor.
Only on the Texas Instruments version you need SDE
The firmware which is available now for the 80XS is the only one.
either you use a machine that has windows, you get the tablet in flashing mode, install the rockchip drivers then use the tool to flash the firmware
using linux here
I installed cwm on recovery finally.... Now I'm trying to put a porting of ubuntu to rk3066: picuntu... Do you know I can use the original kernel on my device to boot it? But Ubuntu is sh*t, I will try to make a debian/gentoo installation when I have a good knowledge about "tablet" hacks.
Do you have more technical documentation about rk3066 and its device or about tablet embedded devices generally... I understand that I should study somebody about this arch, OS/Android structure, ROM and howto cook it.
