I want to buy Archos Arnova 10 G2. My main idea is to use it when I am in a seminars in a different countries. I want to use skype to talk back home, to take notes during these seminars, to make presentation for seminars. Is it possible to use MS Office in this tablet?
In general what is your advice? Will I be satisfied for using purposes mentioned above if I buy this tablet?

Thanks beforehanf.

The camera quality is not very good and does not make video calling that enjoyable, plus there were reports in this forum of Skype not running fine on the tablet, or need to download a specific version.

MS Office files can be read with free apps, but you'll probably need to pay a few euros/$ to get a commercial app to edit MS Office documents. It won't be easy to work on the tablet unless you hook a keyboard on it (thru USB, as the 10G2 has no Bluetooth)

All in all, I am not sure the Arnova 10 G2 is the best option for your needs.

Let you know if you have other questions.

Cheers.

Thanks for your detailed answer.

Is there any tablet for affordable price for the purposes which I mentioned? I do not want to spend to much money on tablet.

Al the best.

Archos 501978 70b Internet Tablet

Exelletor has done a complete review of the 70B IT on our Blog: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/archos-tablet/archos-70b-it-review-part-1-introduction/

It's quick a good product, performance is similar to the Arnova G2. The 7" form factor is nice, the tablet is quite light and easy to carry. You also get Bluetooth and HDMI that are missing on the Arnova G2.

From Archos brand, you also have the Gen9 devices, that offer a faster processor, but the budget is a little higher.

Thanks for information. It was really helpful.

I have some questions.

Micro USB connector - Can I not use flash drives in this tablet directly? For flash drives have I to use extra connector?

I again to mention that my main use will to use skype to call back home, to check emails and to use MS office (to view, edit, create new one).

I want to buy extra usb keyboard case and use it during my meetings.

Do you think I should buy this tablet  for these purposes?

Another point is 80 G9. It is almost 70$ expensive than this one. I do not want to spend more than 200$. What is your advise?

If you read carefully my post #8, you should find a link to the blog archive listing all our Archos Gen9 (G9) articles.

I found that list, but there is not any detailed post for 80 G9 tablet like you send me link for 70b IT. I want to go through 80 G9 also and decide which one to buy.

I know, this issue is simple and time consuming for you. But I want to buy something that I will use for my purposes for a long time.

I appreciate all of your help. Thanks very much.

Apart from the screen size (8" 4/3 ratio vs 10.1" 16/9 ratio) the Archos 80 G9 and Archos 101 G9 are identical, so you can refer to all our "Gen9" articles. Most Archos 80 G9 initial had a defect on the screen, but it should have been fixed in the product.

When the Archos G9 were launched, it was a bit hard to understand the multiple products in the line, it should be simpler as most products sold should be with 1 Gb RAM models and "Turbo" 1.5 GHz CPU
